October 17, 2016–People around the world are enjoying 98-year-old Tao Porchon-Lynch’s award-winning autobiography, Dancing Light: The Spiritual Side of Being Through the Eyes of a Modern Yoga Master. On a mild Monday evening, Tao attended a Book Club at the home of Baiju Mehta in Scarsdale, NY. It was an intimate gathering to meet Tao and listen to some of her stories… and have delicious Indian food!!

Yoga Master Tao Porchon-Lynch has a Dance Party for her 98th Birthday

August 7, 2016–Although August 13th is Yoga Master Tao Porchon-Lynch’s actual birth date, on Sunday there was a grand bash at the Taj Palace Restaurant in White Plains, New York to celebrate her 98th! Tao’s extended family of friends and colleagues from her various walks of life — such as yoga, dance and wine — were all there. It’s a testament to how you can create your own community of love regardless of whether you have blood relatives who are present (or you want around).

July 12, 2016–97-year-old yoga master Tao Porchon-Lynch had the pleasure of teaching CBS2’s Mary Calvi in her first yoga class. Mary attended Tao’s regular Thursday morning session at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Hartsdale, New York, and was enthralled by Tao’s light and incredible life story.

97-year-old Yoga Master Tao Porchon-Lynch at 2016 International Day of Yoga at the United Nations with Sadhguru

June 20, 2016 – On the summer solstice, one day in advance of International Day of Yoga, 97-year-old yoga master Tao Porchon-Lynch spoke at the United Nations joining the Founder of Isha Foundation, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. As a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader and her biographer, Teresa Kay-Aba Kennedy moderated Tao’s conversation. Sadhguru’s conversation was moderated by Max Kennedy, author and son of Robert F. Kennedy. The audience included senior UN officials, ambassadors and other dignitaries from various countries.

97-year-old Yoga Master Tao Porchon-Lynch and Mother-Daughter Writing Team in Chicago to Receive 2016 IPPY Award

May 12, 2016– Our schedule in Chicago was packed! On Tao’s last day (I stayed for BookExpo America), we had our popular Conversation with a Master event at Yogaview Chicago. It’s a multimedia experience which I moderated as usual. It was delightful to have my mother there–journalist Janie Sykes-Kennedy and co-author of Tao’s autobiography Dancing Light.

We’ve done this Conversation program around the world from New York and Kansas City to Slovenia and Dubai. Once again, we had a good crowd even though we posted it last minute. Much thanks to Cathy Beres for coordinating it and Lisa Pickert at Yogaview for being such a good host.

May 11, 2016– After the autographing session at BookExpo America, we battled the rush hour traffic to get to Yogaview Chicago where 97-year-old yoga master Tao Porchon-Lynch taught a yoga class. Wherever Tao goes we like to connect with the yoga community. We had a good crowd even though we posted it last minute.
