Diverse Women-Led Production Team; Includes Two Exclusive Courses from Yoga Master Tao Porchon-Lynch and 40 Days to Power Living in time for Lent

January 4, 2022 – New York, NY  Wellness and Internet pioneer Teresa Kay-Aba Kennedy launches digital course platform at based on twenty years of delivering in-person empowerment programs to consumer groups, corporations and conferences.  The platform debuts three courses, including her Power Living foundation program and two exclusive offerings from her mentor, yoga master and historical icon Tao Porchon-Lynch who passed away in February 2020 at the age of 101.  There is also a blog full of content, mobile app for access on-the-go, and affiliate program that enables others to earn money.

"After I almost died in 1997, I dove deeply into what made the human body, brain and spirit thrive and dedicated my career to helping others transform," said Teresa Kay-Aba Kennedy, CEO of Power Living Enterprises, Inc.  "Now through video-rich technology, a global audience can instantly access our offerings and earn from our affiliate program," she added.

One of the first African Americans to grace the cover of Yoga Journal, Kennedy founded the Ta Yoga House in 2002--the first yoga studio in Harlem.  She was also the first Black Chair of the Board of Yoga Alliance, the non-profit setting standards for yoga teaching.  She also served as Interim CEO.  A Certified Holistic Health Counselor and gluten-free vegan, she is a National Spokesperson for the American Heart Association and was featured in their Healthy Soul Food cookbook.  She was also featured in Oprah's book, Live Your Best Life!  The initial course line-up includes:

Kennedy and her mother, journalist Janie Sykes-Kennedy, co-wrote two award-winning books with Porchon-Lynch and Kennedy traveled with the yoga master for over a decade.  They did 66 events together spanning ten countries, including at the United Nations and Pentagon and with people like Dr. Deepak Chopra, Sadhguru and his Holiness the Dalai Lama.

"Tao marched with both Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and was a rare female yoga master of her generation," said Kennedy.  "I'm honored she trusted us with her brand and legacy," she added.

Invited by First Lady Patricia Butts, Kennedy debuted the first in-person 40 Days to Power Living program in 2006 with a group of 100 people at Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem using her book, 40 Days to Power Living: Think, Eat & Live on Purpose, as the guide.  Since then, thousands have done the program in both faith-based and secular settings.  The live online Power Living training will debut on February 28, 2022 to coincide with the beginning of Lent.

Kennedy is a seasoned producer.  A Harvard MBA, she founded VH1 Interactive and the VH1@Work radio network, and was Vice President at MTV Networks as well as Creative Consultant for Universal Pictures.  For the course filming, she worked with a primarily female production team including cinematographer Eun-ah Lee, her sister Sheila Kennedy Bryant and fellow coach Raquel Wong.

Already in development for later this year is Seven-Day PWR Detox, a plant-based detoxification program based on Kennedy's 2009 book of the same name, and Stress or Success? It's Your Choice!, a popular corporate offering delivered to entities like Eileen Fisher and Bloomberg Media.  In addition to ongoing coaching services, Kennedy has also created customized video content for companies like MetLife to further their leadership development goals for female executives.
